Andrew Garfield was born in Los Angeles, California on August 20th, 1983. His mother was English and they moved to England when he was three. He began acting in youth theatre productions while he was still in school. At the age of 19, he went to the Central School of Speech and Drama. Though he has appeared in shows like 'Sugar Rush' and 'Doctor Who', his real breakthrough was in the Oscar winning movie The Social Network, where he played the role of Eduardo. He has also played the leading role of Peter Parker in the famous movie The Amazing Spiderman.

British actor Andrew Garfield has become one of the hottest properties in Hollywood right now and appeared in the Marvel superhero movie The Amazing Spider-Man earlier this year. With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 due out in 2014, Andrew has been talking about the direction he would like to take the character.
Garfield explained to E! Online:
“I feel really excited. I feel like we got over a hump with our first one. We had to reinstate the character, and we had to reinvigorate an audience to the character. And I hope to bring more of this theme—the theme of the orphan.”
He added,
“I wanna keep exploring that theme of being fatherless, being motherless, searching for purpose and finding a purpose within himself, being a self-made man, I guess.”
Andrew also went on to talk about the Spider-Man suit and how it is going to get a redesign to assist him with any toilet issues he may have, “The suit is undergoing a redesign because I couldn’t urinate in it last time. So I’m less nervous ’cause that’s gonna be nice,” joked Garfield.
The Amazing Spider-Man will be released on April 18, 2014 in the UK and May 2, 2014 in the US.
